My Philosophy

I feel strongly that therapists should be actively involved in the therapy process, so while I listen closely, I will also give you honest, objective feedback. I believe that there are many ways to heal and grow, so I always tailor my approach to fit your unique life experiences. You can expect to feel understood, accepted, and empowered to step outside your comfort zone. My personal experience has helped me understand the worry and fear all of us feel when faced with these questions:

Is this as good as it gets?

Am I ready to ask for help?

I know that therapy might be the last thing you’ve tried to feel better, and you may have already lost hope in yourself or your partner. Don’t worry, I will hold onto the belief that change is possible until you’re ready to believe it for yourself.

I am passionate about supporting the next generation of family therapists. As a result, I am in the process of becoming an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. In addition, I currently provide clinical supervision to graduate students in the Couple and Family Therapy program at the University of Maryland.
